There is a service plan in OFF365 \/ Azure named <a href=\"http:\/\/technet.microsoft.com\/en-us\/library\/jj585024.aspx\">Windows Azure AD Rights Management<\/a> (AADRM) . That is a symmetric capability to the on prem <a href=\"http:\/\/technet.microsoft.com\/en-us\/library\/cc753531(v=WS.10).aspx\">AD RMS<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>The AADRM is not on by default for your tennant;-&gt; <a href=\"https:\/\/login.microsoftonline.com\/login.srf?wa=wsignin1.0&amp;rpsnv=2&amp;ct=1361009917&amp;rver=6.1.6206.0&amp;wp=MCMBI&amp;wreply=https:%2F%2Factivedirectory.windowsazure.com%2Flanding.aspx%3Ftarget%3D%252fRmsOnline%252fManage.aspx%253fbrandContextID%253dO365&amp;lc=1044&amp;id=500633\">Activate HERE<\/a>    <br \/>And enable in Off365:<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sharepoint13.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/image.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"image\" style=\"border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sharepoint13.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/image_thumb.png\" width=\"420\" height=\"103\" \/><\/a>&#160;<\/p>\n<p>Site Collection Admins can now enable IRM protection on individual documents libraries :   <br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sharepoint13.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/image1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"image\" style=\"border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sharepoint13.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/image_thumb1.png\" width=\"416\" height=\"196\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Enhanced in Office 2013, the IRM settings UI for a document library is easier to use.&#160; library admins can do the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Set access rights, including rights to print, run scripts to enable screen readers, or enable writing on a copy of the document (new to Office 2013) <\/li>\n<li>Set expiration date (the date after which the document cannot be used <\/li>\n<li>Control whether documents that do not support IRM protection can be included in the library <\/li>\n<li>Control whether Office Web Apps can render the documents in the library (new in Office 2013)<\/li>\n<li>PDF supported by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/download\/details.aspx?id=29844\">extension download<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Quanta Costa?   <br \/>Free <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wlEmoticon wlEmoticon-smile\" style=\"border-top-style: none; border-left-style: none; border-bottom-style: none; border-right-style: none\" alt=\"Smile\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sharepoint13.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/wlEmoticon-smile1.png\" \/> This is included in Enterprise plan 3 and 4 and Academic plan 3 and 4<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/technet.microsoft.com\/en-us\/library\/jj219596.aspx\">PowerShell HERE<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Good Luck protecting those documents<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The new Office 2013 version is bringing Document protection to the cloud for the first time.
