SP health Analyzer had a configuration warning saying that some of their SP databases are running in backwards compatibility mode.   <br \/>Wonder what it means well here is an ok post on it: <a title=\"http:\/\/sharepoint.microsoft.com\/Blogs\/fromthefield\/Lists\/Posts\/Post.aspx?ID=146\" href=\"http:\/\/sharepoint.microsoft.com\/Blogs\/fromthefield\/Lists\/Posts\/Post.aspx?ID=146\">http:\/\/sharepoint.microsoft.com\/Blogs\/fromthefield\/Lists\/Posts\/Post.aspx?ID=146<\/a><\/p>\n<p>So I need to fix the problem, not just stick around on reading other bloggers nice posts about the state \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Often these problems occurs when you run the SP Product and Configuration Wizard, in wrong order, or not at all, or some other misc. stuff \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Here are my 1-2-3 step on patching and fixing the problem.   <br \/>After installing CU on all farm server always do this: (stop any antivirus service)<\/p>\n<p><strong>1:<\/strong> run psconfig.exe as admin logged in as SP System Account on front-end server(s) ( SP-hive\\BIN) <strong>psconfig.exe -cmd upgrade -inplace b2b \u2013wait , <\/strong>if errors or warning inspect log file for ERR and WRN. * \u2013Correct errors and rerun until ok.    <br \/><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>2:<\/strong> run the same psconfig.exe command on all other SP servers.    <br \/><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>3:<\/strong> reboot all servers. Login to WFE start CA \u2013 reanalyze the configuration warning.<\/p>\n<p>Tip: Some warnings might never be fixed, or applicable to fix. Like this one:   <br \/><b>WRN<\/b>&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; Unable to create a Service Connection Point in the current Active Directory domain. Verify that the SharePoint container exists in the current domain and that you have rights to write to it.     <br \/>Force the upgrade: <strong>psconfig.exe -cmd upgrade -inplace b2b \u2013wait<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong>Note: if you wonder what the difference in b2b and v2v is \u2013 b2b is build to build, as in patches. v2v is version to version as in fram SP2007 to SP2010.<\/p>\n<p>-I&#160; Know you think there must be a PowerShell command for this. Yupp there is!    <br \/>If it is only one database (or a few) in Compatibility mode, you can upgrade this in PS. Example for MySite Content DB.<\/p>\n<p>First find the ID for the DB, run this in PS&gt;   <br \/><strong>Get-SPContentDatabase -Identity WSS_Content_MySite<\/strong>&#160;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sharepoint13.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/image.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"image\" style=\"border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline\" border=\"0\" alt=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sharepoint13.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/image_thumb.png\" width=\"369\" height=\"19\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>Copy the Id into PS&gt;   <br \/><strong>upgrade-spcontentdatabase -id 32dbe749-534\u2026.etc\u2026.<\/strong>    <\/p>\n<p>That`s it \u2013 keep patching! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today I had a customer need help in SP.
